TSTA is seeking conference speakers!

TSTA 2023 Conference Science, Phenomena, and the World, Oh My!

The Tennessee Science Teachers Association (TSTA) is hosting its annual Conference and Professional Development Institute.

Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Thursday through Saturday, November 2-4, 2023

The theme for the 2023 Conference is Science, Phenomena, and the World, Oh My! The focus of the conference is on the following strands:
  • Using your BRAIN to know the standards and implement them in teaching and assessments.
  • Leading with your HEART to instill a love of science in all learners through phenomena and sensemaking through intentional instructional practices (pedagogy).
  • Having the COURAGE to innovate, collaborate, and interact with the world.

We are excited to host our second EdCamp on Saturday, Nov. 4! More information will be shared about that soon. However, because of the EdCamp on Saturday, all speaker sessions will be on Thursday or Friday. Thursday we will host either 3-hour or 6-hour workshops. All Friday sessions will be 60 minutes.

Educators from all grade levels—kindergarten through higher education—are invited to come and share best practices, ideas, and activities with fellow teachers. We encourage you to submit a session proposal to be a speaker at the conference, and we look forward to seeing you in November!
